Great grandma and grandpa Johnson were so amazed with Jarin's costume! The kids each carved a pumpkin. Jarin's pumpkin looked like Mater from Cars movie... it wasn't intentional, the pumpkin had some soft spots so I salvaged it for carving, since it will be thrown away in a few days. Lucy's pumpkin was a cat to match her costume selection this year! Jarin doesn't say peacock yet, but if you asked him what he was going to be for Halloween he'd say, 'cock'. And Lucy's cat costume really came alive when I painted her face and she loved it! She said that I was a real artist, how sweet! Peacocks don't fly much and they don't walk fast either so Jarin road around in style. Lucy took a picture with all her neighborhood friends, and trick or treated with some of them.
And last, but certainly not least, a picture of the fruits of their labors. This is about one fourth of the candy because Dustin's work does a big trick or treat during the daytime. Jarin really loved saying 'trick or treat' and 'thank you' and 'bye, bye' and if someone wasn't home, he'd say, 'not home'. He's saying lots of words and trying to repeat everything. He calls Lucy sissy; it's very cute. Lucy, the superstar that she is, said she wanted to put all their candy together and share her large candy stash with Jarin! Lucy also participated in our church primary program and did a super job. She was asked to share a talk she gave during the year in primary about making raspberry jam and temples. She had is all memorized and looked out the whole time! She'll never cease to amaze me!
